Бalkansky

Ivan Shopov (aka Cooh), recently known under the moniker Бalkansky, is one of the most successful Bulgarian artists on the electronic scene.

Бalkansky's debut album  - Kuker, has been released in the last two years with the producer and art director Ivo Hristov, the guest musician Teodosii Spasov, and other well-known Bulgarian musicians. The project moves through the various layers of electronic music, combined with Bulgarian folklore elements and traditional sounds, lined with Teodosii Spasov's skilful performance.

Бalkansky manages to establish himself on the world scene through his vynil releases on various UK and German labels, as well as the growing demand for his DJ performances, where he blends dubstep sound with IDM and Bulgarian folklore elements.

Having played numerous times in the UK, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia, and Russia, Бalkansky always succeeds to captivate the audience and to put Bulgaria on the map of the contemporary electronic avanguard.
